OVERVIEW

Europe’s oldest classic Long Distance event has been around since 1981 and will be the 2025 European Championship Long Distance.
Taken place on the bottom of the former Zuiderzee, this race on reclaimed land takes you over dykes, through typical Dutch polders and shows an abundance of windmills. The swim course is a sweetwater lake, the bike course is flat and fast, while the run course takes you around the central city lake Weerwater and offers great cheers from all supporters.

The course is not only technically unique—situated below sea level—but also offers the potential for personal bests thanks to its smooth terrain and minimal elevation.
