2025 WORLD CHAMPION- SHIPS

With your feet in the sand, music in the background, surrounded by thousands of fellow athletes and an even bigger crowd behind the barricades; goosebumps on your arms, the tension is tangible. That’s the feeling that ten of thousands of athletes must have had over the past 40 years in these final moments before the gun went off for the Holland Triathlon, nowadays Challenge Almere- Amsterdam. It’s not only the second-oldest traditional triathlon in the world, but it’s also grown into an Almere tradition. The event is inextricably linked to the Dutch city.
